Asymetrical DressLove an airy maxi skirt, yet crave the sex appeal of a mini? Looking for a way to take a top to the next level? This season, asymmetrical hems are sweeping the runways, offering up the best of both worlds for the indecisive dresser. Looks range from laid back and beachy, to edgy chic. Get in on this “high-low” trend stars of the big screen and street style blogs have been rocking for day and night.

Day dresses and skirts are a feminine way to keep it casual, and there is no shortage of pieces to choose from this season. Jersey separates are versatile, comfy, and with an asymmetrical hem, totally fashion forward. Layered illusion skirts pair a mini under a maxi skirt, for a dark romantic vibe. Pair these bottoms with a slouchy top and high heel for an edgy style, or a flat sandal for modern hippie appeal.

Up top, tees, jackets, and blouses all have gotten the asymmetrical treatment. The trend gets tailored in a sharp jacket, adding some edge to work attire. Handkerchief hems are springtime staples that spruce up a tank or tee.

These looks clean up nicely in evening wear as well, in gowns that are both sexy and sophisticated, with elegant movement and a sassy display of leg.

They say we can’t have it all, but with this trend we can at least have a bit more, stylistically.
