Give a Mother’s Day gift that any domestic diva will adore...

Mothers DayIt’s no secret that most women loathe getting the dreaded “domestic gift” (insert dishwasher or blender here) from their loved ones. Yet there are certain universally coveted items guaranteed to make any mom smile, and we’ve rounded them up for your gift-giving pleasure:

Think pink. Do some good while you brighten up Mom’s kitchen with a product specially sold to benefit breast cancer, like the Cook for the Cure collection.

Reach higher ground(s). Got a caffeine-craving mom? Give her a gift that will remind her of you whenever she makes her morning fix. The ever-popular coffee makers are always a huge hit, or wow her with a specialty item, like an espresso maker.

Put the petals to the metal. Bring her flowers in a gorgeous vase that’s hers for keeps; perennial spring favorites include tulips, spring lilies, blue iris, and daisy poms. In keeping with the garden theme, you can also plant a tree in her honor with an organization like Friends of Trees.

Sate her sweet tooth tastes. For the mom who loves to bake, a set of cute cake plates or a cupcake stand will surely make a welcome addition to her collection. The more colorful or unique, the better!

Capture the memories. Photo frames may be a predictable gift, yet there’s good reason that they’ve stood the test of time. Switch things up a bit by framing a sentimental poem alongside a family picture or transferring a treasured photo to canvas for a painting-like effect.

Happy Mother’s Day!
