Glamour Goddess

The sexy curves and flawless style of Eva Mendes...

Lace DressEva Mendes has gone from B movie babe to big screen goddess in the likes of 2 Fast, 2 Furious and Hitch. Her style, sexiness and elegance have landed her as the spokesmodel for everyone from Revlon, Cartier, Magnum ice cream, Pantene and Reebok. After all, she makes eating a chocolate bar glamorous, and washing your hair actually look enjoyable.

“Go glam or go home,” says Lela London, author of She Said Style, a guide to fashion, beauty and self-love. “Eva isn’t afraid to play around. Flawless, golden makeup paired with colorful, floor length gowns. Her strapless, embellished dress at the premiere of ‘The Spirit’ will always encompass that for me.” Mendes has admitted that dressing around her curves is no easy business; finding shapes that fit, and making sure not too much is on display, especially on the red carpet.

By day, London describes Mendes’ look as “model off-duty. She chooses simple shapes, simple colors, stiletto free simple shoes for a really laid back vibe that’s heavy on the jeans.” The star professes a great love for comfortable but feminine housedresses, quoted as saying they are the staple of her daily wardrobe. But she’s also seen in colorful twill pants, silky shorts, and prints.

To grab a bit of Eva Mendes style for yourself, London recommends getting “body conscious. Eva always looks like a vixen because she knows how to play up to her strengths. She never looks uncomfortable because she never reveals too much or wears something unflattering. Opt for a look that’s all you, with a pinch of Sophia Loren.”
