A Magical Season of Giving: The Mall at Fairfield Commons announces holiday events.

Beavercreek, Ohio (November 11, 2011) – The Mall at Fairfield Commons is planning a Magical Season of Giving that will benefit local non-profit organizations and will provide exciting events for customers.  Below are a few events that will take place from November 18th through December 24th.

Santa’s SUPERSIZED Secret Giveaway:  The Mall at Fairfield Commons is partnering with 94.5 Lite FM to give away four SUPERSIZED gifts valued at $2,500 each. Starting Monday, November 14th, customers can visit the Food Court to view a different riddle each week on a SUPERSIZED wrapped gift that gives hints about that week’s secret prize. Customers can enter their guess each week at Guest Services for a chance to win.  The first drawing will be held at Spinoza’s Pizza and Salads on Friday, November 25th from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. The remaining drawings will be on the first three Fridays in December at Spinoza’s Pizza and Salads from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.  

Santa’s Village: Santa will be arriving from the North Pole on Friday, November 18th.  He will visit the mall until 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve.  Meet him in Center Court for photo package pricing and hours.

Black Friday: The Mall at Fairfield Commons will open at 6 a.m. on Friday, November 25th.  However, several stores will be opening between midnight and 6 a.m.  Please visit www.mallatfairfieldcommons.com for a complete list of stores that will open early.  Free doughnuts and coffee will be provided at 6 a.m. to customers courtesy of the Vineyard.  Quantities are limited.

Festival of Trees: Preview some of the beautifully decorated trees and wreaths that will be auctioned at the Miamisburg Color Guard’s Festival of Trees on Saturday, December 3rd. Trees will be displayed from November 19th - December 2nd on the lower level near JCPenney. Customers can enter to win one pre-selected Holiday Tree.

Miracle Mondays: For every gift card purchased on designated Mondays, $2 will be donated to the following organizations: The Noble Circle Project (November 28), Daybreak (December 5), Ronald McDonald House Charities Miami Valley Region (December 12) and the Life Enrichment Center (December 19).

Prize Patrol: During the week of November 28th, 10 lucky shoppers will be surprised with a free $50 Visa Mall Gift Card by Santa’s little helpers each day.

Sensitive Santa Photo Event: On Sunday, December 4th from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m., The Mall at Fairfield Commons will host a special time to visit Santa, reserved especially for children with Autism.  Santa’s Village will be made “sensory friendly,” with lower lighting and quieter surroundings.  ABC Pediatric Therapy will provide an activity center for children waiting to visit with Santa.  A donation will be made to 4 Paws for Ability for their support of this event.

Free Gift Wrap Courtesy of the Vineyard: The gift wrap station will be located on the lower level near JCPenney from December 9th – December 23rd

Life Enrichment Center Food Drive: The Mall at Fairfield Commons will be collecting canned goods and other non-perishables for the Life Enrichment Center at Guest Services from December 15th – December 24th.  In exchange, customers can enter to win a $250 Visa Mall Gift Card.  One entry for every five items donated.

WPAFB Adopt-A-Family Program: The Mall at Fairfield Commons will be adopting five families through the Wright Patterson Air Force Base Adopt-A-Family Program. Contributions from customers, retailers and the mall management team will be collected at Guest Services from Monday, December 21st through Wednesday, December 30th. Information regarding specific family needs will be available at Guest Services.

This year’s Magical Season of Giving will provide over $21,000 in contributions to the local community. Visit Guest Services to pick up an Event Guide for the complete listing of activities.
